Adv Mukund Puranik

Apart from being a Science Graduate in Botany & Microbiology, Mukund qualified as Master of Law from ILS Law College at Pune in 1997. Later he also pursued his MBA Essential program from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
He had worked at senior positions at the top corporate law firms of India including Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co. and Khaitan & Co.

The transactions that he had advised, include cross border and domestic acquisitions, joint ventures and joint venture exits, corporate and project finance, technology licensing, distribution and franchising, EPC and commercial contracts and dispute resolution (including international commercial arbitrations). He had also advised on setting up India focused private equity, venture capital and investment funds. I had represented project proponents/strategic businesses, investors, lenders and other project participants such as EPC Contractors in a broad range of industrial sectors including Petrochemicals, Steel and Mining, Energy (Thermal, Nuclear and Renewable), Technology, Telecom and PPP Projects such as Roads and Highways.

He had advised Reliance in relation to J-3 Petrochemical Expansion Project being built at a cost of USD 15 billion and Jio World Centre being built at a cost of about USD 1 billion, in relation to life cycle support contracts, including shutdown and revamp of the operating plants and utilities. He had accomplished expertise in advising, structuring and negotiating private procurement contracts for projects and manufacturing operations as well as business operations.

Currently he is advising Reliance in relation to:
- Project Procurement Contracts for Dhirubhai Ambani International Convention and Exhibition Centre Project being built in Bandra, Mumbai, India at a Project Cost of about USD 1 billion.
- Project Procurement Contracts for Twin Tower Office Building being built in Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai, India;
- Procurement Contracts for its expansion and minor capex projects at Jamnagar, Dahej, Hazira, and Baroda in Gujarat and Patalganga and Nagothane in Maharashtra.

He serves on the Advisory Panel of Transparent Capital Partners Private Limited heading Legal Division.
